\(^.^)/
Heeeeey~
I still exist! And I'm still very much a fangirl. Proof: I've pre-ordered KAT-TUN's Expose right after I heard a full preview of Expose. Lol! What proof is that. But yes, I love that song that much.
So much more than the previous single.
I'm sorry, Fumetsu no Scrum took me by surprise, not a happy surprise but a pull-the-rug-from-under-my-feet-surprise.
I'll be blatantly honest, like I haven't been for the past few months/years, FnS was boring. Probably the most boring single I've ever heard from KAT-TUN...
The only thing that made FnS a tad bit better was Koki's Black or White which came with the single. If not, I would've written off FnS as the worst effort by KT's management ever.
I tried to love it. Really, I did. I gritted my teeth and watched them perform it on Johnny's New Year's Countdown... I sat and watched the cheap-looking PV.... I played it on my itunes... but didn't manage to listen to the whole thing in one sitting cos I got bored of it.
I tried to love it, I really did...
But.... Then, Expose landed on my screen one fine evening, a few days ago.... and my faith in KT was restored.
Lol!
Don't get me wrong, I never felt like hating KAT-TUN or dropping out of KT's fandom... I just distanced myself after FnS, hoping that something good will come up and pull KT right back up to the top.
I'm hoping that Expose will do that.
Oh, I also got to know that Expose is a coupling song for Suzuki's Solio ad... hrm........ why is that KT gets awesome songs when it's for car ads?
Not complaining though, just questioning KT's management.
Suzuki sees potential in KT's ability in singing awesome songs, why is it that the management stopped seeing that?
Or are they too busy trying to shit debut more new, unpolished Juniors with fake 'gira-gira-ness', to take care of the already talented ones, still waiting for good gigs.
Esh.
Anyway... Looking forward to see what comes in the mail on the first week of February~!! :DD It'll serve as both a birthday present-cum-celebration for myself and to Kame. XDDDDD
That aside...
I'm still very much a HSJ fan. And yes, am still very much in love with dear Inoo Kei-sama and his randomness, princessesy-ness, bimbo-ness and everything that makes him loveable.
I know over the months that I've been on hiatus, there were some major disputes in the hsj fandom and it sometimes revolves around him. I don't know what caused that and I'm disappointed by it.
I'm curious to know why but I guess, last year, with HSJ still riding the major popularity boom, bitter old/former fans took it upon themselves to 'poison' the myriad of incoming new fans.
That's what I think might've happened back then.
I'm glad it's over, now. Dust has settled, Inoo's still awesome and it's his graduating year! :D
It's this month, right? Or is it in March, when graduation ceremonies are usually held.
No matter, I'm still super proud of him for all the achievements he has made over the past 3-4 years. To think, I've been a fan of his for as long as he has been in university... Now, he's graduating... =') He won't be 'future-sexy-architect' but a 'sexy-architect'. Lol! XD
As for Jdoramas this season....
There's nothing that really caught my attention other than Share house no koibito....
The synopsis sounds interesting... Unfortunately, I got thrown off by the fact that the main character is played by an actress that I've always found irritating to watch. And really, a drama revolves around the main character and if the main actor/actress fails at making the drama entertaining (which I know, she'll probably do that.... -_-), then what's the point of watching it.
Pity, good story and Yuto's in there... but not a fan of the main actress....
I'll probably give it a try, but I'm pretty sure I'll stop following it mid-way through the season.
Nobunaga no chef....
has Shida Mirai acting alongside Tama-chan; that piqued my interest. Shida Mirai is one of a handful of Japanese actresses that I find entertaining to watch. Tama-chan... well... he's always teetering on a narrow point, for me. At times I find him adorable and admirable, and there are times I feel like slapping him. But still, I couldn't pass off this drama.
So, I've watched the first episode. As usual, Tama-chan's acting still needs some brushing up... but on the bright side, most of the cast need some brushing up, in the acting department. Other than Shida Mirai, there's this... 'stiff-ness' most of the actors/actresses show. I don't know whether it's the script or the timing of the camera or them not being good at acting.
Other than that, interesting story. Entertaining and light. I'm being biased but Shida Mirai, as usual, is a breath of fresh air.
Saki.
Cos Miura Shohei is in there and how can I pass off a drama where Nakama Yuki acts as a cougar and Miura is her main prey. XDDD Plus, I usually enjoy watching Nakama Yuki's dramas. She's not an excellent actress and I'm not particularly a fan of hers but she seems to usually get dramas that are entertaining to watch and has some of the best supporting casts in Japan's filming industry. Eg; Gokusen and Ghost Mama, both of which I enjoyed watching because of the story as well as the supporting casts.
So, two... or three (if I can tolerate Mizukawa Asami enough to enjoy watching Share house) dramas this season.
Last season, out of the three dramas I followed, I've only managed to finish Tokyo Zenryoku no Shoujo. I gave up on MONSTERS and the preview for the last episode of PRICELESS discouraged me from watching the final episode. Lol! Same thing happened with Boys on the run; til now, I'm still trying to find the motivation to watch that final episode. XD
Coming back to TZnS.
Love it.
I've never watched any dramas starring Takei Emi or Miura Shohei and this drama makes me wonder why. The casts are lovable, even the father's 3 girlfriends. Urara's surreal optimistism was never irritating to watch and I'm giving credit to Takei Emi's terrific acting (overwhelming optimism irks me... but Takei managed to somehow skirt that problem). Daisuke's so adorable and I wonder why I've never taken the chance on watching any of Miura Shohei's dramas. Daisuke-tachi are awesome, fun people. Urara being an abrupt imposing presence in her estranged father's life is entertaining to watch. Overall, what can I say, I love it. The casts are awesome and the story's entertaining.
That's that....
Fuh! Long post. I'm back! XD
Oh right....
For those who are curious (probably nobody but oh well...) on where I've been and why I've disappeared for months (appearing sporadically on other fandom social networks).
I graduated early last year. I'm currently working as a full-time feature writer. Schedule's been hectic since I've started. You'd think, writers would have a lot of time to spare... but no... lol! My datelines come every two months and within these two months, it's my job to search for materials to research and write on.
So, there you have it. But this schedule will definitely not hinder my loyalty as a JE fangirl. I'm still around. I still regularly update myself on the fandom. Though, the number of groups I'm interested in, has been severely cut down to just KT and HSJ, occasionally, Kanjani. And I've stopped giving myself the pleasure of watching 5 minute stage performances (so, yes, I've missed MSSL and BA and I don't feel bothered about chasing down downloads for them....) and magazine scans are ... somewhat, a thing of the past.
But, like I've said, I'm still in the fandom... I just don't have the same amount of free time I had for the past 3-4 years. So, I'll just linger along the sidelines until an opportunity opens up for me to delve deeper into the fandom (Japan, wait for me! I'm on my way!! Lol!)
