So I finally did it.
After 7+ years, I finally did it.
I bought my first BL mangas, legally. Lol! F.i.n.a.l.l.y.
To think, I've been a fan of JE for less than 5 years, yet I've bought albums, singles and magazines by those boys but I've never made the effort to buy bl mangas of which I've been a fan of for more than 7 years.
Truly, a feat I'm proud of. XD
At first, I contemplated between buying the Japanese ones since well, they're a heck lot cheaper compared to ones published by June or any other English publishers, and there are a lot more choices. But then again, who am I kidding, I can't read Japanese for the life of me, so why waste money on something I can't read (note: magazines don't count cos there are pretty pictures in there. So it's still worth forking out monies for).
So, I went ahead and purchased from Amazon even though shipping cost me an arm and a leg.
Bought these:
Samejima-kun to Sasahara-kun and
Docchi mo Docchi (Same Difference):DD
Samejima-kun to Sahara-kun. I've always wanted to read this ever since I first heard about it early last year. It's said to be a close contender to the likes of Seven Days and similar mangas. And it was voted the best manga last year. I just have to get this much-raved about manga. So, this is the manga that tipped the scale and made me finally buy legally. Lol!
Docchi mo Docchi was a last minute decision. I had to buy another manga to make the shipping fee worth paying for. But, there are so few titles to choose from on Amazon. So, I opted for the latest manga I'm following: this.
I must say, it feels really different reading the hardcopy version. I'm so used to reading via PC/laptop/screens. I'm not quite sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Lol! XD
Oh, and I got myself Wicked the novel cos that's another book I've finally decided to get after more than 7 years of being a fan of the musical/songs.
