Falling Like Memory

"Go ahead, push your luck,
Find out how much love the world can hold"

Here comes the rain again
Falling on my head like a memory
Falling on my head like a new emotion
I want to walk in the open wind
I want to talk like lovers do
I want to dive into your ocean
Is it raining with you

His blond head appeared and Brian was confronted with brilliant blue eyes and a slow, calculating smile. He wanted to ask what the fuck he was doing there but could only acknowledge the introduction. The new intern indeed, looks like the stalker was back and in full form. Well fuck that noise.

Brian turned on his heel and walked away quickly, trying desperately to ignore how hard his heart was beating and how fast his mind was racing, throwing images of the new intern and the boss in all kinds of positions and damned if he couldn’t still taste him.

So baby talk to me
Like lovers do
Walk with me
Like lovers do
Talk to me
Like lovers do

Brian had to be a hard ass about it. He could see in the set of his jaw that he was surprised to see him, and angry. But Justin had enough time away to know exactly what he wanted. He walked in the door prepared to get him back, be together-this time without rules and false expectation. Yeah. Maybe Justin could actually do that this time. He was so busy watching Brian’s every move that he dropped the boards and stumbled all over the presentation. Fuck. All it took was Brian’s presence to expose every chink in his armor.

Here comes the rain again
Raining in my head like a tragedy
Tearing me apart like a new emotion
I want to breathe in the open wind
I want to kiss like lovers do
I want to dive into your ocean
Is it raining with you

Justin wants to come back on his own fucking terms? He’s completely transparent. Brian knows that he’ll probably retreat if Brian just shuts him down once. But he can’t help but notice the way he stands, staring and in full drama princess mode. He thinks he gets to walk away? Not likely. Not now.

“Grow some balls.”

Everything went white when Brian tasted him again, kiss unexpected and brutal and he’s gasping for air-breathing for the first time in months. He shattered and reconstructed in less than the second it takes for Justin to pull away, smirk, and leave.

So baby talk to me
Like lovers do

“You should take me back.” Justin saw the smile in his eyes the moment he looked up from his computer. The fire that Justin loved, the raging energy that attracted him to the frustrating, beautiful man was back and Justin knew exactly how to play this game.

“You realize you’ll have to work long, hard hours? Sometimes deep into the night.” Justin could hear the undertone: “Don’t ever do that again you little shit.” He realized that he wasn’t the only one who had been walking around lost for six long months.

“It will be a pleasure working under you…Sir.”

Here comes the rain again
Falling on my head like a memory
Falling on my head like a new emotion
(here it comes again, here it comes again)
I want to walk in the open wind
I want to talk like lovers do
I want dive into your ocean
Is it raining with you

Brian felt like he was drowning in Justin; he couldn’t get close enough. And after burying himself in him repeatedly throughout the night, as he watched the dawn break through the loft windows, he tugged Justin’s form closer towards him, nuzzling his nose into his neck. Justin sighed slowly and Brian could feel the smile against his skin. He ran his hand down the length of Justin’s spine, memorizing it again. He couldn’t shut his eyes. Justin lifted his head and tilted Brian’s head up to look at him. He smiled softly and Brian returned it, kissing him hard.
