Just curious, can we turn our submissions in early? (I can dream can't I?)

And yes, you absolutely CAN turn in the submissions early.
But we will not be taking in any LATE submissions. No extensions will be given. I've run fanfic contests in another fandom for the last 4 years... and I never give anyone extensions. And the turnout still is great every year. ;)
Hope there will a good response here too. :)

BTW, I didn't want my last comment to come off as too scary. :D We're not gonna be like strict headmistresses who don't accept any slacking... ;) it's just that I've found it to be a good practice to give a fixed date for reaching deadlines, and then not budge from it.
I also find it a little disheartening for people who DO finish stories on time... to realize that it made no sense for them to be staying up nights, scrambling to finish their entry to submit it in time.... when someone else, who is obviously not THEM, was gonna get an extension anyways! :p
That's why we thought it'd be a fixed schedule. If you know it's fixed, you do finish your assignment in time. :)
