Update -- Some Announcements and a Poll YAY
Hey everyone!
Well, this little idea of ayesakara's has just taken off, hasn't it? Thank you to everyone who has pimped the community, signed up to write, and sent encouragement and support. :)
We've got a few announcements to make, so here goes:
1. More Prizes!
We've been contacted by a very generous donor (who has asked to remain anonymous) who wants to give something back to the community of fabulous fanfic writers that entertain her. So now in the offing:
FIRST PRIZE: a $75 gift certificate to Amazon.com
SECOND PRIZE: a $50 gift certificate to Amazon.com
THIRD PRIZE: a $25 gift certificate to Amazon.com
Yes, we fainted too.
The first prize winner will still receive his/her choice of any QaF soundtrack and all three winners will still receive custom winners banners. Pretty sweet deal, huh?
2. More Helpers!
Due to the number of participants, and the amazing prizes, and the fact that we may be participating ourselves, we needed vote-counters! So we are happy to announce that paddies and kitkatbyte will be taking on the task of tallying the numbers and keeping everything honest and above-board. Thank you for agreeing, ladies, and welcome!
3. Some Thoughts and a Poll YAY
Have I mentioned that we never imagined we'd get this many participants? Yes, I thought so.
So. Here's the thing. In a community, it's not possible to back-date posts. So if we post the stories here in the community, your friends pages will be spammed with over 40 stories.
Another option is for us to open a separate journal to host the stories. We'd put a link here to the stories -- you'd go to the other journal to read (and comment) and then come back to the community to vote.
So we're leaving it up to you, the readers and writers. What do you want us to do?
