What is a Big Bang challenge?
- A Big Bang challenge is when authors sign up to write 20,000 words or more in a complete story, in some cases 15,000, in this case the word minimum will be 10,000 words. Authors are given about 3 months to write this

I've got my story about 3/4 finished ( maybe more) but it is already 30,000 words- Is this too long? Should I choose another story that is closer to the 10,000. Also - it appears that when the rough drafts are due that the story doesn't have to be finished- jsut 80% or so- Is that right? And I submit a summary when I submit the draft? What if no one chooses my story to make art for? what happens then? On the day that the challenge finishes, the story and art work is posted- so they are not anonymous for a period of time? How long after the posting, can I post it myself? sorry to ask all the questions, I've written many fics before - just not one like this.

thanks- I tend to write long stories and the original two stories in this universe are 40 chapters and 28 chapters respectively, so this one will be shorter- about 16 chapter- thanks for your answers.I'm looking forward to finishing the story etc.

the one question I have is I can't post that big of a story on LJ- do I post over several days
