To be fair, it was a discussion that involved Hitler. c_c

But their response seemed to be because I was essentially saying that....yeah, we do know that Hitler and his horrible followers had human moments. And that, to me, was what REALLY made them so horrible. That they could be nice to this ONE person, but then turn around and brutally murder millions without a second thought.

It's the human element, yeah.

Much like it's also the human element to prefer things in simple black and white, and to portray the evils of the Nazi regime as being something we cannot understand or relate to.

Unfortunately, you don't learn nearly as much about their mistakes without considering both sides of the coin.
