I played it for about 6 months (on two servers, one being a 3x speed server). After a while it takes up pretty much all of your free time, at least if you want to stay competitive in the game. I had to quit cold turkey because it was eating up my life.

I've signed up too - and am in the SouthEast. Coordinates 37/-33. Is that close enough to anyone to make an alliance realistic?

I've started the alliance and sent you an invite.

Qarl is about 46 minutes away (for a Gaul merchant). I'm thinking that we can start the alliance and if anyone isn't that interested due to distances then they can pull out later and look for something closer.
