Unfortunately, the exact subject of this song escapes me. I was sure of having read an interview in which Ruki elaborates on that, but I've not been able to locate it anymore. actually before he says "sorrow made you" he says "why do you still breathe?" so i think that he is referring to his question.

in my opinion he is saying that he/she still breathes because she or he feels guilty (sorrow) towards whoever they killed so they feel like they have to live with their sins or guilt.

That is how i interpret it anyway but the rest of it i think that you are entirely correct on its just a matter of opinion or how you decide to interpret it :)

hence the sorrow made you, he is referring to the fact thats why they still breathe
