To save you from referring back to previous posts, I will recap incorrect guesses each day.
Our daughter is NOT named:
Ada, Aisha, Ava, Barbara, Caedmon, Eileen, Elizabeth, Erfyl, Genevieve, Joan, Julia, Katherine, Lucy, Monegundis, Patrick, Rabi'a, Sexburga, Sofia, Teresa, Valentine, Winnifred, or Xenobious

Damn. If you google "pasta spears", you're already number 4 on the list. :-)
(This was a comment and in no way constitutes my guess for today. I reserve the right to make a guess later when I've done more research.)

Nope, she's not named "Damn Carlson". (not even as a nickname, though doesn't "Damnation Carlson" have a nice ring to it? Middle name: "It")

Yes! Very much like Prudence, Charity, etc. I like it.
So I'll show my work on how I got to my guess:
I tried splitting it up, since "pasta spears" came up as "penne" which is too short to be a first-and-last anagram...
For "spears" I got "lances", removed the letters in "carlson" and got "ero" left over. Added "penne" (for pasta) and got...
Neoprene!
(I know, it doesn't actually work logically, but I like the result.)

I have no idea, after spending too much time scrambling pasta combinations and coming up with things like "Miotti Carlson." So, my guess will be Ziti, in honor of St. and baked Ziti.
