Normally planning an event, especially a new event, takes about a year, although with a bit of organisation you can probably do it in 6 months

No, James. It was between the House of York and House of Lancaster.
The Duke of York held lands mostly in the East Midlands, the Welsh Marches and the South of England.
Lancaster held lands mostly in the North, but being King at the time, quite a few other places too.
If I tell you they were at Northampton because the King was holding a parliament in Coventry and wanted to intercept the Yorkists who had just come back from Calais (also English), captured London and then headed north, would you be any less confused?
