I read today's comic. And then I actually said outloud, "Everything is Raven and nothing hurts". Someone shoot me, I'm that big a nerdster, apparently.

Putting a word bubble right over top of the Espressosaur was a really poor choice. The audience doesn't get to see the object the whole strip is about.

Great strip otherwise.

It looks like about the best choice, though, unless Jeph wanted to put it over the dude's butt, but that might not have translated as well, and the object is in full view in the last comic.

Whoops, posted my reply as anon! (I'm so used to communities prohibiting anon comments I didn't even realize I wasn't logged in here.)

"Sounds like by far the lesser of the evils to me.

While I'm griping, the guy should have been carrying the Espressosaur under his right arm, and offering Faye the check with his left hand, so we could see it in panel 2 as well.

I get the feeling that Jeph was doing this strip at 2am and was intentionally "cheating" the drawing of the 'saur by hiding it behind things."

Gonna guess this was you? I can't see the post here, anymore, but it's in my e-mail.

It is highly possible that Jeph didn't want to have to draw the 'saur, but putting the bubble over the guy's butt would've made it harder to see where the order of the bubbles was... if that makes sense... at least to me.

Though, yea, probably shoulda had the 'saur in the dude's right arm.
