1) Food query: This week's CSA installment included a small pumpkin. (By "small" I mean "about the size of a child's bowling ball".) The pumpkin is very cute, and another person might possibly use it for, say, a centerpiece. Pumpkin dip - totally! This one uses canned pumpkin, but Uncle Google would be certain to offer substitutions.

Hee. I always knew there must be some way to sharpen a serrated knife. In the bakery, we just throw them out and get new ones when they get old. Which, you know, gets pricey, I imagine!
