It's creeeepy shit like this that makes me even more glad that Hilary is not our nominee. These people are so much like the Dianetics power structure - sexist, dominionist, elite assholes who care a LOT about themselves, and sod all for anyone else.

OMG! Oh Icon Mistress, may I steal that icon as a gift for my BF? I shall tell him where it came from and give due credit. Your icons are the best.

Every time I hear about that group, it's in the context of "Hillary's a member!!1!" and I just can't give it any credibility at all. Hillary Clinton has been part of my experience of politics since I was a child, and nothing that she has ever done, that has ever been reported, or that I have ever heard her say, in thirty-two years of following her and her husband's careers, has given me the slightest reason to suppose that she would hold a group like that in anything but the profoundest contempt and disgust.

I just don't buy it.

P.S. I'm from Arkansas, so that's how come the following her career -- I'm not just a random stalker of political wives and women politicians.

I'm with you. Hillary haters come in all stripes and political parties, and frankly, having met her - not in a political context - I find her charming, genuinely nice and as direct as a human being can be. As for her politics, I think there's nothing wrong with centrist democrats and I have no problem disagreeing with her without vilifying her. I'll certainly vote for Obama, but stories like these - which have a grain of truth, I'm sure - are guaranteed to also have many, many untrue parts.

*nodsnods* I'm 1,000% behind Obama now, though I was swayed to Hillary during the primaries because of her healthcare plan. And if I can scrape together the time (iffy) I'll volunteer for his campaign here. I just hope I can avoid some of the more divisive of his (or Hillary's) supporters.

Actually, I hope all the supporters stop being divisive, though I don't really expect all of them to do so. Still. *hopes*

But even if I didn't support Obama, I'd still vote for him. The next president will be him or McCain, and I'll work my butt off to see that it's not McCain.
