I came home to find that Ilona was playing. She was playing with a dead mouse. I assume it was Ilona who caught the mouse, because neither Vlad nor Marya were trying to take it.

This morning Vlad was playing with the kittens. I came home from movie night at Kditzy's and the kitten you see on the userpic came up to Vlad and touched his nose with hers. No hissing and growling.

I tried several names. So far no response yet to names. More names tomorrow. Watch this space for an announcement.

The two kittens are hiding. Vlad is supreme master of all he sees, including me. I had been planning that he would be the alpha kitty, and it looks like that will happen. He is calm now ( Read more... )

The kittens are skittish, but Vlad is much calmer. I have been petting him and cuddling him. The kittens hissed at me when I pet them. They're stressed out and will be OK. I got Vlad to purr for me by the magic of brushing him.

So far so good.
