Rambly rambling...¿? Arashi and SUPERNATURAL <3
I'm bored, so I figured: LET'S POST SOME NONESENSE ON MY LJ.
I actually should be making cupcakes right now (red velvet and I hope they turn out acceptable) but I'm too hot right now (and I oficially hate summer) soo, I'm on the computer O.o I need to make the cupcakes for our New Year/ Second Christmas (yes, we have two Christmases on my family, one with my father's side and the other with my mother's side...but that only happens when we spend the actual Christmas with my father's side, because if not we only have one, the one with my mother's side...am I making any sense? ANYWAY) but I'm too lazy.
Enough of the cupcakes and holidays, I'm going to talk about...OBSESSIONS.
I'm the kind of person that, once I find something I like, I become obsessed and eventually I get bored. Luckily, if I really like that thing, after a while I find it again and I start liking a "normal" amount...ok, I would probably still be considered obsessed but I know the difference, because I don't get bored anymore =D
It hasn't happened with Arashi, but I think thats because they do so many different things. Imean, they don't only release songs ans albums, there are also concert to watch, variety programs (which are hilarious by the way) appearances on music programs, and many many other things, which ALWAYS make me laugh and give reason to go all fangirl-y XD So no, Arashi hasn't bored me yet, but it happens with a lot of things, mostly songs, but it also happens with TV series (because I LOVE TV series). One very good example is SUPERNATURAL, which, let me say right now, I ADORE.
So, let's start at the begginning (and that's how bored I am...also, none of my friends like Arashi or Supernatural :'( ). This is probably 2006, I had seen the promos for SPN, and they scared me, so I figured "I'm never ever watching this show, EVER". Then my mom goes and rents the first season, and the obsessions begins (I'll admit, Dean/Jensen Ackles probably had a lot to do with that, but the series IS great, and funny...and the first season IS scary). So, I was obsessed for abour three season, and the, on the fourth, I started missing some episodes, for one reason or the other, and season 5 I almost didn't watch. But then I started wanting to watch it again, but I was too lazy to catch up so I started with episode 1 of season 6 (and thak god for "The road so far"), and I went from there. But then, the real turning point, which started my "normal" obsession was FANFICTION, specifically Destiel.
I started reading fanfiction with Arashi (everything that included Sho <3 ). And one day I remembered all the Wincest and Destiel that was mentioned but I had never read. So I started reading (not Wincest, it's weird bacuse it makes me really curious, but then I start reading and I just find plain weird and I can't go on ¬¬ ), and now whenever I don't read Destiel I get this annoying feeling that something is missing and I start feeling uneasy. It's weird, it's kind of crazy, but that's how it is.
Point is, fanfiction restarted my love for Supernatural and now I've bought ALL the seasons (which I had never done, god knows why) and I'm watching EVERY episode. It takes a lot of time, but it's so much fun!! and I'm watching conventions on youtube, and watching Destiel's Fanvids and listening to Fanmixes (where I am finding what are turning to be my new favourite bands).
So, yeah, my love for Supernatural has been restored. Maybe some day I'll try writing some fanfiction of my own, but for now I'm happy just reading. Of course never forgetting Arashi <3
Funny thing, none of my new favourite bands even resemble Arashi's style. My taste is way too eclectic, and sometime not really THAT good (though it depens on who is judging ¬¬)...but that's more fun XD
