I love Ronnie and her quaint 'little old lady from colonial times' voices. I love how Stephen just handed it over as if to say 'I'll just let the master go to work'.
I also found that this episode had a good balance of humour in it. I can't think of any outstanding moments of utter hilarity but I remember laughing a lot through the episode. I did enjoy Dave Gorman's presence a lot-he was both knowledgeable in the strangest of subjects and had a bit of a charming wit.
I may be biased because I think Ronni is brilliant and a really good example of what a brilliant female comedian looks like (as with Jo and Sandi).
Also I am incredibly partial to Dave Gorman because I have a huge crush on him AND he tweeted me this morning hahah.
I actually like Lee a lot, esp. on Would I Lie To You?, and I think part of his comedy is the fact that he partially "plays dumb" in order to get a rise out of people.
But yeah, loved this ep. Watched it twice already. Thank god for YouTube.
It took me a while to get warmed up to Lee Mack, but I really like him now and he is always surprisingly good when presenting HIGNFY (... and of course when involved in a rant match with David Mitchell or when getting a rise out of Stephen Fry.)
Your icon reminds me that I'm currently still in mourning for Seven Day Sunday! (How could they not renew it, those bastards!)
I love Ronni but I felt like she had the problem of not getting to say enough.
I thought this was a children in need special, albeit in a different way. I mean the topic did concern children.
Everybody was on good form, though, so it was a highly enjoyable episode. I loved the 3-seconds hug thing, it's so true - even with a true friend it takes special circumstances to stay in a hug for longer than that.
I actually really liked this episode - as someone said, I can't quite remember a moment of absolute hilarity, but it kept me smiling the whole way through. The guests were all lovely this week too. I don't usually like Lee Mack much on QI (he usually draws so much attention to himself and plays up on the 'stupid Northerner' stereotype, which annoys me), but he was a bit quieter this week and I liked him a lot more for it. Dave Gorman was great, and Ronni is one of my favourites. ♥ The tiddly-winks was good fun, and the spontaneous hugging is one of my favourite QI moments already; how sweet was that?

I liked this episode, but I'm going to have to watch it again since I was doing two things at the same time when it was on and missed parts of it :I
