Created for Post #18 - The Where's Waldo Job

Many readers may still remember TNT's TV show Leverage, a show about five modern Robin Hoods who use their skills to fight corporate and governmental injustices inflicted on ordinary citizens. The show was canceled by TNT on 2012 after five seasons and there was constant cheering for a movie by fans ever since. Now their wishes have finally been answered.

A follow up movie of the TV show "Leverage, The Where's Waldo Job" will hit the cinemas next week. How do the kids do after Nate and  ophie decide to retire? What will happen when a big bad shows up on Nate and Sophie’s wedding? iMovie has recently chatted with Director and producer Dean Devlin, and the cast, Timothy Hutton (as Nathan Ford, "the Mastermind"), Gina Bellman (as Sophie Devereaux, "The Grifter"), Aldis Hodge (as Alec Hardison, "The Hacker"), Christian Kane (as Eliot Spencer, "The Hitter"), and Beth Riesgraf (as Parker, "The Thief") for some inside scoop.

iMovie: There have been rumors about a movie ever since the cancellation. How does that feel finally producing it after two years?

Dean Devlin: It’s like a dream come true. We feel there are still many stories left untold when the show cancelled, now we got another chance.
We’re very grateful for our fans. As you may already know, we raised the fund on Kickstarter and we reached our goal in only one day. There won’t be a movie without them.
We all miss Leverage. The cast, Tim, Gina, Chris, Beth, Aldis, they were all very busy and had their own TV shows, but when we contact them about the idea of a movie, they said yes immediately. It’s just like old times when shooting it. We had a blast; I hope the audience will enjoy it too.

iMovie: Tell us one thing you love most about the new movie.
Beth Riesgraf: For me, it’s we’ll see Parker as the mastermind in this movie. It’s a big change for Parker. She has learned a lot from Nate, but she is not Nate, she does things in a completely different way. I think it’s interesting to see how she acts the part.
Aldis Hodge: Hardison is very excited to be the organizer of the wedding. I can’t wait for you all to see what kind of surprise he prepared for Nate and Sophie.
Christian Kane: Eliot punches bad guys. (Laugh) No, it’s the team dynamics. Things changed a little now when Nate and Sophie left and the kids had to take all the responsibility. It’s really great that we get to see how the characters grow and if the team dynamic will change.
Gina Bellman: Paris. We actually went to Paris to shoot some scene. Sophie loves Paris.
Timothy Hutton: Nate being kidnapped. Nate doesn’t go well with being kidnapped on his wedding day and having to wait for rescue. It will be fun to see how he reacts.

iMovie: So a wedding finally happened for Nate and Sophie! Are we gonna actually see the wedding?
Gina Bellman: A tiny bit before someone shows up and crashes it. Apparently you can’t expect everything goes as planned on thieves’ wedding.
Timothy Hutton: (laugh) It’s the most memorable wedding one can get. They have to run on the rooftop of Paris with Sophie still in her wedding dress.
Gina Bellman: Oh, I’m sure Sophie is thrilled.
Timothy Hutton: I’m sure Nate will make it up to her. Can’t have it in the movie though, the rating will have to go way up.

iMovie: Could you tell our readers why they have to see the movie.
Dean Devlin: There is a bit of something for everyone, action, romance, cons, we have the team, Sterling, Maggie, Tara, a new big bad guy and a few old ones, and a special appearance for a very special guest (but I can’t reveal who, you have to go to the cinema to see it). Overall, fans or no fans, if you want to a fun holiday movie, you should go see this one.

iMovie: Will there be more Leverage movies in the future?
Dean Devlin: There will be many more to come as long as you guys will keep watching them.
Beth Riesgraf: We will continue to provide leverage.
The Others: Yeah.

Leverage: The Where's Waldo Job will hit the cinemas on Dec. 18th. Now go find your nearest cinema!
