Bones is AMAZING! It is my favourite show out there right now. It's well written, well acted...it's quirky, smart and emotional. And there's good instances of hilariousness, too. Which episode of Bones did you see???? It's one of those shows I can't wait for. (I have a couple...Royal Pains and Burn Notice--on USA--are the other two, and they come back on tonight. Which is good, because now my Thursdays aren't sad and lonely, given the summer hiatus of Bones.)
The one episode I did see was the pilot back when it first originally aired, and I remember almost nothing about it. I think at the time I wasn't into it because Angel had just ended, and it made me too sad to see David Boreanaz in a different role.
I haven't seen Royal Pains but I love Burn Notice. I've only seen season 1, though. Again, I'm doing that one through DVDs, so I'm sure I'll always be behind! ;)
House and Bones are both excellent choices - though I have to agree with your friend snark that this season of House didn't have any "pop". I've got almost all of them on DVR and that NEVER happened before - used to watch every week without fail and now? Not so much. Bones has great quirky characters and you gotta love David and his "Cocky" belt buckle. But again, didn't keep up this season. I think I miss one of my favorite characters - won't say who *wink For regular TV, Royal Pains and Leverage are perfect summer shows - fast, fun and very reminiscent of old time "caper" movies.
