The season finale that just aired recently for The Vampire Diaries was pretty freak-out inducing, I'll tell ya!
So. You've got Elena and Damon on the front porch, and I knew, I just KNEW he would kiss her and she'd kiss him back. Things had been heading there for a while. But when she kissed him back without any hesitation and when it went on for longer than I thought Elena really would let it go... I knew something was up. I kind of knew it as soon as Jenna opened the door and caught them and "Elena" didn't go inside until Jenna literally told her to do so (i.e. "invited her in"! Ah ha! This is important!). So from that point on, I was like, "That's Katherine! Oo, what a twist!" But what I did not telegraph at ALL was her then CUTTING OFF JOHN'S FINGER AND THEN THEN STABBING HIM IN THE GUT!! OMGWTFBBQ!!1111ELEVENTYONE!!!! Now, THAT part was all very quick and TOTALLY out of the blue, and I didn't see it coming AT ALL. I know I gasped audibly, and I think my jaw is still sitting on my living room floor!
