I'll go back to old-school fandoms and sitcom land again and say Cheers. That was when sitcoms were filmed before a live studio audience, when they felt more like filmed plays than TV shows, and there was something about the lighting on Cheers that I always loved. That episode was full of really great banter and chemistry, and I still think Diane Chambers is the sort of character we're not likely to see much anymore: a woman who isn't afraid to display her intellectualism, even to the point of coming off as being pretentious. Sam Malone certainly has his later incarnations all over the place, but Diane... not so much. That pilot set things up very nicely in a way few shows--especially sitcoms--have since.
