It is not possible to have too many books except during brief periods when you are moving.

If I do become a homeowner, I am idly considering an old Victorian factory in the area which has floors that can handle books.

Well the problem is that I've had to move the books twice in a year. And they're not just mine - when dad died last year, I inherited his and mum's as well and our whole family were BIG readers. So I trundled them all down from Sydney in October last year (took several trips and a 4WD stacked to the brim each time), finally got them out of boxes and onto bookshelves around May/June this year and now they're going back into boxes again!

That's when you have too many books.

The only time I cull my book collection is when I have to pack them up and move them. :)

And there is no such thing as too many books but there is a such a thing as not enough room (bookshelves, that is).

And have you found another place yet or are you still looking?

We just got confirmation today that our application for the house we REALLY wanted was approved :). I'm so happy it's silly.

I'm sending round an e-mail from work tomorrow with links to the place, so you can all ogle :)
