My facebook policy is to friend no one whom i haven't atleast talked to in person. But now I am getting friend requests from people who are going to school with me next year. I can't give them a bad first impression, but I can't break my policy. What to do?!?

you know I would, but so far none of them have been cute yet.

No one is friending me on livejournal by the way. I never said anyhting about that. I dont know how they'd find this journal anyway, but if they did that would be reason enough to be creeped out by them.

to stickymolly - nice one :)
i say for livejournal tell them that you'd prefer to meet them first before friending them back -
you could even do that w/ facebook. dont "friend" them - just exchange msgs. and tell them that after you've met you'd be more willing to "friend back"

my age old wisdom.

if you get to school and people who friended you without knowing you "hate you" because you didn't friend them back--you have eliminated from possible friendship a very psycho core of people it would have otherwise taken you four years to eliminate.

if you get to school and you have 500 friends you've never met, and a kid next to you who you actually like asks, "why did that girl just wave to you" and you have to admit it's because you're "friends on the internet" then you have just made a poor impression on the friend you do like...

that said--I never reject anyone, just keep them in my "holding pen" of "you have a friend request" until i actually meet them.

love,
your sister

ps: the internet doesn't matter.
pps: are you goign to human television tomorrow? did you see wonder boys?
