My love of vampires began and ended with "Interview" and "Lestat." After that...eh.

I haven't read Twilight and likely won't given it's mixed reviews. And the movie just doesn't grab me. Plus, I trust your judgement. :)

I've seen excerpts of the book. I'm sure I'd have liked some of the vampire romance bits when I was 14 (not a criticism, just an observation), but the prose is so eye-bleedingly dreadful from what I've seen that I've never bothered to try to read more. Don't publishers use editors anymore?!

I've never been too fond of vampire novels myself, or vampire films. I agree that the first half of Twilight was better than the second half. It was bad, but quite entertaining. I liked it more than what you do. I'll probably never watch the movie.

Oh yeah, we're fine. We're on the other side of town from where it hit in the metro and we hardly even got any rain, much less anything damaging. I've spent all but four years of my life here and have never seen a tornado... I *know* that's a lucky thing, but dang it... I wanna see a tornado! :)

I feel the same way about earthquakes. When I was living in SF, I was like, "Bring it!" (But not in a 8.5 on the Richter scale kind of bring it.) :P
