Assignment #1

I signed up for an Expressive Writing course at George Brown.  Our first assignment is to write a short story about one of our childhood memories.  I wrote about my Dad.

MY DAD

Very good Meg! Writing is such a cathartic, therapeutic and enjoyable experience. I used to do more of it myself years ago. I have no constructive criticism to really offer unless your writing was more about an issue or some detailed topic. I think whatever you can do to get your "creative juices" flowing is awesome and the more freely you do it, the easier it will get for you. It was a cute story and perhaps a glimpse into "little Megan :)?" Again, good work.

Were there any specific directions for this assignment? Like, you had to include a topic sentence, etc?

I enjoyed reading this, especially the last part where you yelled "Fried chicken!" (I busted out laughing) This made me nostalgic for memories of me and my own father.

Nope. This was an expressive writing course I'm taking... very Prose writing. Glad you liked it. ^_^ I'm sure you have tons of fond memories ofy our pops as well. I saw your post. Good luck with the info search! ^_^
