Two things that will help you with screw-ups:

--If you're knitting lace, it can be really hard to pull out just one row. Instead of just starting all over, put in a help line. At the beginning of each pattern repeat, before you start knitting, take a long length of skinny yarn, thread it onto a darning needle, and run it through all the loops. Then just knit the row as usual. If you screw up, you just pull out the needles and rip it back to the help line, put your needles back in there, and try again. If you don't screw up, just pull out the help line when you get to the beginning of the next pattern repeat and put it there. I usually put the helpline on row 1 of the pattern, but sometimes I put it right before a really killer row so I won't waste time knitting easy rows again.

--Other thing that will help you: do you know how to pick up dropped stitches with a crochet hook? It's a life saver.

Yes, I've been playing with the idea of a life/help line. But I want to suffer I guess, cause I haven't done so yet. *shrug*

How do you pick up with a hook. Tell me tell me!
