It is *very* hard to keep control of an already rowdy class of first graders when you have a sinus/respiratory thing going on.  Singing is hard when you cant breathe.  geez.  And in about an hour, I have my problem class of thrird graders..... ye gods.  grant me strength and enough of a voice to get through...

Kids are crazy. I wanted to be a teach but for High school. You have a great amount of patients. *hugs* feel better!

Try getting them to settle down a bit with a game... Perhaps once they've learned enough vocabulary you could try doing a word/picture bingo game or something?

I'm not a teacher, but I remember playing that in almost every language class I've taken. I hope things go well! Perhaps Kace could give you some advice since she teaches the kiddos as well.
