I stand in awe of James Joyce.

It's good to be reminded just how much I love reading.  Amid the read, absorb, churn out, I think I forget sometimes that I started down this road because it gives me pleasure and fulfillment, and has deep meaning to me.  I want to wrap my hands around this feeling and not lose it despite the intersection of work and ( Read more... )

This happens to me every couple of quarters, and I'm always similarly intensely grateful. It's good to know that what you like doesn't change once it becomes what you do.

Unrelated, but M&D said you're on the hunt for summer jobs. Two ideas you might try: Davis Home Trends (let me know if you want names and address info), and the campus library (let Nick know if you want names or references info).

It really is good to remember.

I'm waffling on the library. It's intimidating and I've rarely used it thus far. However, an on-campus job is a definite possibility. As for Davis Home Trends, I hadn't thought of that. Does a bus go there/where is it? If it's far and not bus-friendly, it'd be hard for me to get to.
