I wish we were both coming on vacation with you guys, but we'll be in town for a little while at the end of July/beginning of August, and hopefully you can come visit us later in the summer (though we'll be studying like crazy for the Qualifying Exam). Just consent to do stuff as a family on the trip that you might not ordinarily want to do, but put in your two cents about what you think would be fun to spend the day doing (as a family - that's the key piece of importance that will make everyone get along); you know Dad doesn't like to be the only one planning the trip.

Oooh, I'm glad you're going to be visiting. And I REALLY look forward to the proposed Oregon trip. I've actually already helped a bit with the Spain trip--I pointed out some stuff I'd like to do, and keep asking Dad what we're doing. So, I'm being good and Showing An Interest.

That's good! Yeah, I'm excited to visit and be visited too, especially since you'll be the first family member to see our new place in person (I'll probably get excited and send photos), and then you can brag about it. Right.
