The Tattoo Itch...

So, since I'm in MN, I need to get some work done.  As in, go to a tattoo shop and have some ink laid down on my flesh.  I'm thinking of two small doves, location kept secret for now.  It's the Dove encircled by stars, probably sans the stars, and obviously much smaller.

Let me know what you think.  Not that it's likely to stop me, ( Read more... )

I'd rather not say who this is because you'll forever hold it against me, but I think you are going to regret your tattoos someday in the not too distant future. I like this design alright if it is in a discreet area that is easily covered by clothing (lower back or something), but quit getting tattoos where they are so visible.

Wrist tattoos, significant or not, are regrettable. You will realize this in the next 15 years. It is not nearly as easy for women to cover tattoos as it is for men.

Tattoos are addictive, as you've found out. Keep them between your shoulders and your thighs. You'll be glad you did.

In the next fifteen years, you will (hopefully) regret your own intolerance towards those that are unlike yourself. If you?re up to date at all on what the Bible states, in 1 Samuel 16:7, it reads ?But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." It?s incredibly ironic that I read this passage TODAY, just a handful of hours before your cowardly assault on my previous and continuing choices. You were correct when you made the assertion that I?d hold it against you with what you said. I can?t fathom any close friend of mine (who understands the meaning and POINT behind my choice to permanently mark myself for WHAT I BELIEVE IN) being so crass and judgmental of me. This is especially upsetting/angering because I personally know of no reason to hold your opinion in any educated regard. Do you have any tattoos? Do you know many people that have decided ( ( ... )

Please take a deep breath. Although this person may be too whimpy to admit his or her self, they were stating their opinion--something you asked for.

And although the Lord may not judge us, other people always will. I know these symbols are important to you, but other people won't always understand. Do what makes you happy, but be sure to make a well thought-out decision. I'd expect nothing less from you.

Call me when you're home--and I mean that. (its soon, isn't it...?)

I'll be home tonight, hopefully no later than 9PM. I can't be out late, though, since my Mom and I are driving down to Quincy (and stopping for an eye exam and new frames in Springfield) Friday morning-ish. We need to be on the road by about 11 to be on the safe side. So, if you can think of something pretty low-key and not too late (like, being home before midnight would be great), that would rock. :)
