I manage to stay upright on a regular basis. I have not fallen over since 2005, when I fell over four times in four days. But anything a little out of the ordinary - moss in the summer, wet leaves in the autumn, snow in the winter - and it is a recipe for disaster. I can just about manage anything else, with careful balance. But I can't take two ( Read more... )

Would these :- http://www.yaktrax.co.uk/ be of use? I've heard folk speak highly of them, but I haven't used them myself.

I usually manage fairly well with a pair of walking boots and a walking pole when it's snowy, and I do tend to the clumsy side of things.
