Yay, an article about tanning. Yeah, if they won't listen to my warnings about it, maybe this will help. Probably not, but its kinda interesting to read anyway

You know, it doesn't really help your case. All I get from that article is that tanning in a bed is better than tanning outside because you can control the dosage of radiation. Personally, if you tan in a bed to get a "base tan" and it keeps you from burning in the real sun, then you are doing the best thing you can for your skin--and that is supported by the article: The most thorough review of data, issued five months ago by a European Commission science panel, found clear correlations between sunburns and skin cancer, but no such clarity in studies of tanning salons and skin cancer. So, although I'm not one to say whether or not tanning is good or bad, I will say that HEY IT HAPPENS! When you like being outdoors and active in the sunshine, you are going to get tanned or burned, depending on your skin type. Preventing that burn by tanning is, I think, a good thing.
On a lighter note...are we still on for Saturday night?
