did you know that Hootie from Hootie and the blowfish ISNT the black guy?

yea, i knew that, but there isnt a guy in the band named hootie, so everybody figures hes hootie(i dont know if its because hes black, and that sounds like a black name or what)

its accually when they started the band in college they had two good friends, one had really big funny glasses that they said made him look like an owl. and they had another friend who had really fat and puffy cheeks whos nickname was the blowfish. those two wernt in the band so they gave them the part of naming the band Hootie and the Blowfish.

so there you go, all your questions answerd

at least thats the story i know of the band name...
