I am not a heavy user of SL as yet but my avatar looks as much like me as I can get her. I tried other genders and races, out there goth stuff and furries but found that for me, I need to feel that it's ME (or an extension thereof) interacting with the experiences I'm having. Perhaps once I'm a bit more adept and know that I can revert back to my girl, I'll experiment and try travelling around in another form. For now, my girl and I (and it feels schizophrenic to write that) will continue our journeys through SL in our current form. With the occasional dalliances with radical hairstyles and whatever free clothing I can score or create for myself along the way.

I find SL a very lonely place overall - the events calendar is clogged with SPAM from retailers. I find when there are planned events like the LearnScope event on jokaydia island that my experience is rich and makes me appreciate the possibilities.
