So Nick called a couple of hours ago and said that he was thinking of driving over here this weekend and wondering if that would work for me. The conversation lasted about 20 seconds and consisted of me saying "sure, that works" and him saying something like "okay, I'll be there in the afternoon sometime. Man, I'm jealous! The problem with living on the other side of an ocean from all your old friends is that no one can just drive over for a surprise visit any old weekend. Anyway, I hope you have a good time.

As do I. Man, I wish you were more local. Seeing your picture and getting your christmas card (still sitting on the desk in front of me and reminding me that I really should have responded) made me miss you a lot recently. But it sounds like your standard adventures in Geissen are more exciting than my life here in Ann Arbor, so it kind of works itself out.
