embarrassing, but i'm still kinda proud
i made this list of "things i want to do in this life" when i was with my family in ireland in august 2000 (making it the year i turned 15). we all made one. this was mine,
.hitchhike across the country
.trainhop across the country
.work at/help start a youth run youth center
.sing in a band
.write a zine
.live in a small house with a bunch of people
.cook for the hungry
.rally like mad for any good cause
.do political graff
.live off the earth and the earth only
.relax in my skin
.meet at least 5 people everywhere i go
.have a wonderful book collection
.have an amazing music collection
.open some kind of record store/distro
.roll my own cigarettes (if i ever smoke)
.get people out of their cars
.be friends with people of different races/economic classes
.be vegan
.make my own clothes
.learn to fix my own bike/house/car/heater/anything
.learn to communicate with other people better
.open some kind of venue
."work" at a "battered women's" home
.with many others, think of an alternative to prisons
.pick up hitchhikers
.have a lovely "marriage" (but not) ceremony in the redwoods
.supply unschooling resources/buildings for poorer people
.make paperdolls
.design and make really cool bra/underwear sets
.have my license so i can be a dd
/travel all over the place, every continent even antartica, especially africa, asia, south american and alaska
.learn *real* history
.use public transportation
.do a glorious piece at mcdonald's
.have a radio show
.make pottery
.sell art on the streets
.learn another language
.take lots and lots of b/w pics
.have a child or just someone's child in my life
.backpack w/ some friends all over some country
.have an organic vegetable garden in my backyard
.have a community garden
.put on a festival in the woods (with shuttles to it from diff. areas)
.have "my" band play at gilman
.not be so shy about my writing
."abolish the white punk"
.stick w/ my convictions even when i'm old
.have a compost
.stop intertupting people-we all have something good to say
.be less serious
