I restored it and that did nothing. Any tips? Anything? I should go to homework and forget about it but I'm gonna go crazy if I don't have it - I have become ( Read more... )

GOD GET IT RIGHT.

It just shows the folder with the !. It makes funny sounds and my computer no longer recognizes it (it just says it's an unreadable device). When I shake it, it rattles like there's something loose in there. I got it so that it'll be normal but won't connect to the computer. Like it's a regular new iPod or something. But then it's... stupid. If I do get it to do anything it'll eventually revert back to the folder with the ! screen. I'm pretty sure it's just a stupid piece of crap.

:( I was convinced that my iPod was the biggest piece of crap ever because 1) it never is recognized by iTunes when I plug it in, 2) it constantly tells me it needs to be reformatted, even though it doesn't, and 3) when it does manage to recognize the iPod, the speed at which it uploads things to the damn thing is so ridiculously slow. Then my friend got one for Christmas and it wouldn't plug it for her at all, so she couldn't even reformat it to Windows/put music on it at all :(

I dunno, though! I don't really know any other people that have major problems with it besides my friend and me. Ummm perhaps you should try going to the Apple help forums or try ilounge.com (I think that was it) to get some advice. Those are the two places that I always went to when my iPod was being poopy.
