Takaya and Chiaki back in school. That has to be fun to read, especially because they are teacher and student.
Girls falling for them both, that's a nice change. Can't wait to get to the point where Takaya and Kaizaki meet again.
Thank you!A big hug!

Yeah, I find this to be the start of a really good story and all. There's just one eency weency, teeny tiny thing that's been left out thus far. What was that again?...oh, yeah... WHERE IS NAOE?!?!?! I thought he'd at least get a part in the first chapter! Oh, well, that's just me being a total Naoe fanhurl again. From, Lady Kaena

Finally catching up with my MoB reading. Thanks again so much for your wonderful translations. Back to volume 14, I agree with you completely that Nobunaga comes off as Lestat, so much so I wonder if there was a line of influence there. I also thought of that scene from Kagemusha. In fact, his rock performance made me think, too, of Nobunaga's opening scene in that movie, where he's riding his horse frantically in circles--he had that kind of frenetic energy. I wonder if Kuwabara had that actor in mind.

On to this volume, Chiaki as math teacher is hilarious! I can't help but hope he gets Kyouko into bed. He deserves some fun:)

Considering that Daisuki Ryu's portrayal of Nobunaga is the most famous (or perhaps, beloved) I won't be surprised if sensei had him in mind.

Unfortunately, Chiaki is too preoccupied with bullying Takaya in school to bother about Kyouko. :)

I'm starting to wonder if Nagahide is fundamentally asexual or just very frustrated. He never seems to get together with anyone--though I do seem to recall a summary from a later volume where he was romancing a goddess of some sort?

Not too sure about the goddess. Chinese fans like joke about how he's really in love with Kagetora but just won't say it, not even if his life depended on it (and he's probably taking Naoe's sanity into account...) Personally, I don't think he's sexually frustrated with Kagetora, just frustrated in general. :)

I find it interesting that he seems to want to be 'with' Kagetora, as long as the latter is still around and until this whole situation is over, he wants to see how it will all end. And despite all his claims that he's sick of the Uesugi, done with this war, etc. he ends up fighting for Kagetora in the Karin arc and with Kagetora at the very end of the series.
