What's the deal? Is this a lesson for your students, or something for a more specific audience? I hope it all goes well (or has *gone* well!).

Yes, for my students. I'm doing three lectures about the History of Life on Earth, and last night was basically the fossilization process, radioisotope dating and major events in the history of life on earth. I'm perhaps a bit too ambitious, covering more than I ought given teh scope of the class, and I should give them more interactive stuff. But, they seem to be enjoying it. I go a little crazy making powerpoints, but since I'm into the material now that I covered last year, it should be less of a time investment now.
