On the bright side, at least you don't live in Chesterfield County -- trash collection isn't covered by taxes down there, you gotta pay to even haul away the basic stuff yourself, much less get anything recycled. Considering how much property taxes are in that county, and how much they pay their board of supervisors, it's a total scam. Stupid ass bastards!
At least Pittsburgh has curbside recycling -- just put all your recyclables into a blue plastic bag, and you can get those at the grocery store. Finally, they've figured out how to solve the plastic grocery bag problem AND the recycling program,... Only problem is, now, I use a reusable canvas bag for my groceries, so I never have any blue plastic bags. D'oh! ;-)
