 The following letter was published in its entirety in the Sunday Aug 17th edition of the Virginian-Pilot newspaper!!

Err,... what in the heck is the SPCA doing collecting trash? I thought they took care of your dogs and cats?

Oh, SPSA!!!! D'oh!!!!

On the bright side, at least you don't live in Chesterfield County -- trash collection isn't covered by taxes down there, you gotta pay to even haul away the basic stuff yourself, much less get anything recycled. Considering how much property taxes are in that county, and how much they pay their board of supervisors, it's a total scam. Stupid ass bastards!

At least Pittsburgh has curbside recycling -- just put all your recyclables into a blue plastic bag, and you can get those at the grocery store. Finally, they've figured out how to solve the plastic grocery bag problem AND the recycling program,... Only problem is, now, I use a reusable canvas bag for my groceries, so I never have any blue plastic bags. D'oh! ;-)

At least you HAVE a city that has an emphasis of recycling. Po-dunk Dinwiddie has the policy of you wanna recycle...you have to take it to our dump which happens to be about ten miles from us. Yippie...
