Tumblr's an okay platform, but most days I just want it to catch fire and then sink into a watery grave.

(SO I'm a little more vitriolic than I would normally be, because it's 5am and if I go to bed NOW I will get 5 hours of sleep, but I kind of don't want to go to bed because I know waking up is going to be so miserable)

I don't understand how you have conversations or make friends on that site. And, like, I sort of KNOW but it's SUCH AN AWFUL way to communicate and then it gets your blog all messy because you have to reblogg all these parts of the conversation and it's highly possible you're going to miss a section of it?

Anyway, it's the worst.

Like, I realize that LJ is in it's death throes but WHERE IS THE ACTUAL LJ REPLACEMENT?

I've been there. What will happen with me is that I'll be like, 'there is no way I want to go to sleep, because I know what is waiting for me when I wake up.'

Like, you literally aren't supposed to? It was never meant for that. It is a glorified Instagram and it's good for sharing pictures of cool stuff and that's about it. Everything else becomes a toxic trashfire because it was just never intended for people to communicate with each other.

I can't quite bring myself to delete my Tumblr, and there are folks on there that I want to keep track of...but I literally was realizing how much I despise it, and how literally every time I go on that website I see something that makes me really, really very angry and thought, "Oh my god, what if there was another website I could post to?" and then I remembered there was!
