Writer's Block: Use Your Power
That's easy: I'd choose the power to bend time to my will. So I could make it zoom by really quick when something boring is happening, like a meeting or an airport layover. And I could make it stretch like taffy when I'm doing something fun or when the day just isn't long enough to accomplish everything I want to (which is most of the time).

Writer's Block: Gone but Not Forgotten
[points at icon] Duh. Buffy, of course. And Angel. I've recently been watching Six Feet Under on DVD, and that was a really good show. Hmmm...loved Seinfeld when it was on, but I don't know that I really miss it. Honestly, for months I've watched exactly 2 current tv series: Dexter and True Blood. And that's it. Not much into tv lately. -
Choosing Barbie
This is something a little different for me--it's an essay I wrote a few years ago, when the kids were younger.
As an update, I can happily add that, while my younger daughter continues to be somewhat of a princessy girly-girl when the mood strikes, she has never been into Barbie.

I'm not totally thrilled with it, and it's certainly no magnum opus, but I don't hate it. And the narrator does end up doing something I would never do, under normal circumstances. :-)
