First thing we did was go to the Botanical Garden. The Botanical Garden was established by Prince Regent D. Joao VI in 1808 when the royal family came to Rio de Janeiro.
These rows of palm trees have been standing tall since 1808.
This stone building houses the plants that grow in dark humid places.

We then headed off to the National Historical Museum.
There were a bunch of these carriages lined up and I took pictures of all of them but I need not spam you. Most are rather plain.

At this point my dad and brother started ruching me through the museum so I only took really quick pictures and barely saw the placards;; It's a pity, I should like to know where these objects came from.
