Fundamentalism is a very disturbing thing. Especially when people seem to miss the point of the book they seem to take oh so literally. Shows how much attention they pay to selectively use parts and ignore others.

Plus you think as Americans, and I'm assuming they would have been on the pro war bandwagon for these reasons too, having the liberty and freedom to choose and express religion without persecution would mean something. Of course it would give them the freedom to make complete asses out of themselves and their religion too. But thats generally something they should think of beforehand.

You'd think - unfortunately, very few people engage the grey matter before beginning any action, now days.

And people wonder why I get so fed up. Maybe it's because I spent most of my life out of the country...I dunno.

Between this and the behavior of the judge in Nebraska...on top of that jackass in the big, white house on the hill....yeah....my friends are starting to realize I'm serious as a freakin coronary when I'm saying I want to get out of this place.

Gimme a boat with an occassional port of call and a "fuck you" flag to fly high. Damn, what I wouldn't do to get away from the stupidity that seems to be running things around here, right now....and I don't, unfortunately, see it getting any better any time soon.
