Ok, we had court today, and since i had to return for classes, i missed the rest of the afternoon, but from what i have been told, we got completely ran over by the Judge (SOB) and Tom(SOB). To make it short, his lawyer and Micheal (SOB) got everything they wanted and more, and we got totally screwed over. Why doesn't Jessica have rights? Michael ( Read more... )

Matt, dude, I know you're upset, and I'm not trying to "side" with anyone on this, but you should take a deep breath, a chill pill, and start dealing with it rather than ranting about it and saying horrible things about people you despise in order to justify your feelings about them. Be the better man. If you sink this low, then you're brought right down to the level that you think he's at.

Well, i understand where you are coming from, and i was caught up in the moment when i wrote that. I still stand by what i said though. If anyone else was in my shoes, you would feel the same way.

I feel for Jessica and her current situation; I really do. However, I wouldn't blame Tom Ledgerwood too much. He is a lawyer. He is paid to do the best job that he can for his client. He may feel for Jessica as well, but it isn't his job to choose a side. He must take the side of the person who writes his paycheck. That's what lawyers do. And, he's a good lawyer. (And, actually, a nice guy - he was a friend of mine when I lived in Clarkston.) The man is doing his job. That's all. Lawyers are like mercenaries. They are guns for hire. You pay for their services. So...I'd ease up on old' Tom. Sounds like he's just doing what he's paid to do.

Micheal isn't paying for Tom. He is doing it for free. Why? Because Micheal is a close family friend? Why is that? Because when Jessica was at home taking care of Nicholas at night, Micheal was running around town getting drunk with people and doing who knows what. Micheal really doesn't have any friends, so he forces his way onto people, and he manipulates people to do what he wants them to, using sad stories and "I'm the victim" and stuff like that, and there are people who actually believe it. So, yeah...Tom is doing it for free.
