have you ever hit somebody in the face with a bass drum mallet while you were marching bacchus and watched the guy next to you piss his pants, having to wait until the parade is over and he's back at school to change his pants? have you ever had your arm filled with girls' phone numbers in sharpie, so much so that a few of them had to start filling your drumsticks with their numbers? how MANY times have you been asked if you've got weed at alley katz? have you ever been pulled over at 3am on claborne between elysian feilds and the industrial canal? how many times have you seen a guy in the quarter try to juggle on a unicycle but fall over because he's drunk? how many times have you heard the people with their guitar cases open on the sidewalk sing quite bluntly about the fact that they'll be using the money you put in their case for drugs or beer? how many girls have you made out with at the lakefront at west end? at clearview? at UNO? at the riverfront? what time do you start your day on mardi gras day? during french quarter fest? Katie has a good example supporting your clause about every other college being standard and typical:

Sitting in class waiting for their professor to arrive, several people asked Ms. Pizzini what was so different about Loyola/New Orleans. Her response was to-the-point, and hit the nail right on the head:

"Let's see...it's Tuesday? How many of the drinks you have contain a daiquiri or any other alcohol?"
"None..."
"Point proven."

And huzzah to directors of res life pouring me drinks and telling me it's absolutely unacceptable to only be buzzed during mardi gras!

61 days until we return!
