"I know perfectly well what needs to be done," he snapped, with no small amount of ice in his words. Edgeworth glared back for a moment, before he turned away. He took a deep breath and dug his fingers into the comforter, and mentally berated himself for the (small) outburst. There was no excuse for them to be losing their heads over minor setbacks; they've been doing this for far too long to throw tantrums like petty children. They'd get their quarry eventually, just as long as they remained patient, and most importantly, in control.

Edgeworth's grip on the blankets loosened, and his posture grew slack as he slumped forward. "We should start making arrangements for the hunt," he said coolly. "We'll arrange an ambush for the panther, during the second night of the full moon. We should be able to find out where it's moved to, after a day of tracking."

Hrmph. While Franziska's annoyance did not disappear completely, her brother's calm, precise words soothed her temper marginally. Though oft foolish, Miles had his moments of rationale that Franziska, surprisingly, sincerely appreciated. Not that she'd ever let on, of course, as that was just weak.

She stood up confidently, with little of her still-irked attitude showing through. "Agreed." Franziska walked to a small cabinet on the far wall, where she pulled out a few fresh rolls of bandaging (kept in all the rooms for such emergencies). Her voice did not soften, but an odd quality of cautiousness entered it as she turned the first-aid bits over in her hand.

"...I would like to- I will be accompanying you this time. Someone needs to make sure you return in one piece, as you evidently can't do that on your own, dear brother." Franziska turned to face her brother, customary smirk in place, and lobbed the bandages at him gently. "I expect you are capable of changing your own bandages by now, otherwise you will find yourself in ( ... )

Edgeworth caught the roll with one hand, and said dryly, "Believe it or not, I am capable of taking care of myself." He stood up slowly, and began to walk towards the door. "However, your help will still be needed for this. The sooner we take care of this pest, the better."

There was no shame in teaming up for this; after all, this wouldn't be the first time they worked together, and it wouldn't be the last. He still had some lingering questions about the creature she came across, however, but that could wait. They'd discuss what to do with it after they make plans about the panther.

For now, though, Edgeworth's primary concern was getting to a sink so he could clean his wound. All he needed to make his day "perfect" was to find out his scratches had become infected.
