which way is the way I just came from? [CLOSED/INACTIVE]
Characters: Zakuro [fulminatory] and WHOEVER WANTS TO BUMP INTO HIM
Content: Zakuro leaves the library to look for some food, finds food eventually, and cannot find the library again
Setting: The streets of Allupato, residential district
Time: Around 2pm
Warnings: Zakuro is really strange?
Zakuro had to face it: he was lost again.
He'd left the library about two hours ago and it hadn't been difficult to find food in this city. None of it tasted all that great, but then Zakuro still wasn't used to Italian food. It didn't matter, however, as he was fed and more than ready to return to the library to resume his quest for directions back to China. There was only one problem though: he had no idea which way the library was in. Zakuro had thought he'd only made it a short way down the road from the place to where he'd purchased food but after a short trip back the way he thought he'd come from he realized he hadn't seen anything familiar.
Zakuro had asked for directions a few times but the Italian tongue was still difficult for him. English seemed to be an acceptable language as well, one he knew more about, but it seemed that something had been lost in translation as he still didn't know where he was or where he was going. It was almost as frustrating as the fact he still couldn't remember where his motel was and he assumed he would have to find someone to walk him there later.
Luckily for him, there was a small map posted near the street. He walked over to it and frowned; of course it was in Italian. Still, there was a red dot that he assumed meant he was 'there', and perhaps he could spot a street on the map that looked somewhat familiar. Perhaps.
After a good ten minutes of staring and tracing lines with his fingers he had his hands in his hair and looked about ready to yell. How were maps so infuriating?! He didn't even begin to understand how so many people could read them effortlessly and it boggled him even more that it seemed like he was the only one having this problem. Surely maps confused someone as much as they confused him?
