It had been an uneventful evening to say the least. The skies weren't quite dark enough yet, but provided just enough shade to keep him from burning. While he enjoyed the good qualities of being a vampire he hated the bad ones. No matter how much he yearned to walk in sunlight again he knew he couldn't, and learned to deal with a makeshift time schedule.

His maids were unconcerned and went about their daily business. Some he had turned for personal preference and the others he hypnotized into forgetting anything they had seen for the sake of business. To them their master was normal and nothing more.

While the maids were busy caring for the manor he took it upon himself to take a scroll into the town square. Due to the influx of people lately he settled on wearing something casual for the evening. He was clad in a white ruffled peasant top opened in the front to expose some chest, black slacks, and knee high boots that clacked softly as he walked.

This was far more comfortable, and easier to move in: after all, ancient Chinese armor would've caused a scene otherwise, and he preferred to lay low for the time being. His shoulder length blonde hair was pulled back into a ponytail and cold blue eyes surveyed the crowd for a possible meal.

He paused briefly to get a grip on his surroundings. He had an idea of what he wanted to do, but hunting would have to wait until it was darker. Perhaps he could sweep a stranger off the streets and no one would notice, but he was choosy, and careful when it came to picking off prey (It couldn't be just anybody). Though waiting for the crowd to settle down for the evening was more tactful then striking now when the sun hadn't even fully set, and he wasn't willing to bare his fangs just yet.

The sun wouldn't set for another hour or so, and he had plenty of time to kill.

He thought about stopping by the library for kicks, but after the scene he had caused earlier by damaging a computer with his sword he doubted they'd let him back in with it again. He didn't know about the no swords in the library rule until the old hag made a big deal about it. Maybe he'd snag her for a snack later just to teach her a lesson, but she didn't strike him as tasteful. If anything she'd probably leave a bitter taste in his mouth. Her voice grated on his nerves just thinking about it as he eased back onto a bench, closed his eyes, and folded his arms over his chest as he waited. Patience was a virtue, and tact meant everything.

Although, he was grateful for the single tree that gave him shade as he relaxed.
