It was early in the day when Tamahome started to the manor his sources had indicated as the tall blond's home. He wanted to give himself plenty of daylight hours in case things went bad and he needed to scamper out into the daylight. He moved carefully through the forest in the early dawn, not wanting anyone to see him and alert the master. The manor -- apparently used as an inn in the tourist season -- was quite large and sprawled out over the grounds. Unsurprised this was where that guy made his home, Tamahome scowled at it. The tourists were like hamburgers wandering on legs for that guy he bet. But tourist season was just passed and while there was a chance of one or two stragglers, it was doubtful he'd encounter any. The Chinese boy took a leap from the tree branch he was in, quietly letting himself in via a second story window.
Nakago was asleep and steadily recovering in his quarters. His maids had bandaged the wound on his back for now and the faint burning pain made him hiss. He’d tear the boy’s head off for that no matter who saw.
“Damn brat.” He seethed in his sleep, groaning, and hating the fact that daylight seeped faintly into his room through the blinds. It was unnerving and he was thankful that the blinds were closed with all the lights in his room turned off.
It would take the blond a good couple of days to recover, even he could heal wounds faster than the average human the boy had struck him good.
Tamahome chewed his lip as he ducked into a doorway to hide him from the hallway's plain view. If he was a betting man, he'd say the vampire would most likely be found in a bedroom, recovering. He'd gotten him pretty good after all, and allowed himself a small smile of satisfaction at that. It was a good time to strike... if he could find the master bedroom! He moved stealthily down the halls, keeping an eye out for servants. Maybe he could get one of them to direct him in the right direction, or at least follow them.
